ERS Table Top (TTX) Description and Agenda

This year’s ERS TTX scenario will follow the release of a cyanide solution in a mine (Portal) shaft, resulting in a hazmat response that requires medical attention. In the ERS TTX  scenario, we will address the stringent training requirements under 30 CFR Part 46 and Part 48 under MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration).  This will not be the usual Incident Command System but an awareness of the MSHA training requirements and development of a site safety plan for the ERS  scenario.

1:30pm - 1:40pm Introductions

1:40pm - 2:15pm Introduction to MSHA Parts 46, 48 and 49 Overview

2:15pm - 2:30pm ERS Comstock Lucrene Mine specifics

2:30pm - 3pm Rescue Team assignments Groups A to E to Prepare their mine Site Safety Plan 

3pm - 4pm  Rescue Team Groups  A to E Present (10 minutes) their mine Site Safety Plan  (1 hour max)

4pm - 4:30pm Groups evaluate each presentation from Groups A-E  and cite any violation(s) of the mine Site Safety Plan
