Life Leadership=Life Ownership

Don’t you wish life came with an owner’s manual?  There are always things that will try to knock you off your course.  Things will go wrong at work, with your family, the weather, with government etc.  What can you do about any of these?  Bad things will happen in your life; what matters is how you react to your circumstances.  Owning your life means that you will not be a victim of life events but you will instead embrace life and everything that it throws at you.

Learning Objectives: What I suggest is to resolve to live their lives as if they did own the outcome.  How would one accomplish this?  There is not a quick fix answer but to start people off they could follow this list:

  • Have a Positive Attitude
  • Know your strengths
  • Embrace your responsibilities. Do not run from them. What does not kill you makes you stronger.
  • Think about what you are learning when times get tough.
  • Know your blind spots
  • Be able to laugh at yourself
  • Be humble.
  • Own up to your mistakes and say sorry
  • Be able to take criticism. Feedback is a gift.
  • Develop a thicker skin.
  • Be a zealot for your faith.
  • Look to be a servant and help others

This session will help provide insight learning and an opportunity to discuss how these tasks can allow you to own your life and live it fully and be the best you can be.
