RESULTS!  Every organization strives to produce results.  Some organizations consistently achieve those results and others consistently miss the mark.  The difference: Leadership.  This program looks at how EHS results produced are driven by three critical elements of success: values, behaviors, and culture.

Living Our Values:  We will explore how our personal values connect to our daily EHS activities.  If we do not have clarity in what the values mean to us and the ability to communicate that clarity, we will inevitably lose credibility with others who are holding us accountable to their own definition.

Leadership Imperative:  Effective leadership can be defined in many ways and we know it when we see it.  This discussion leads us into the role the leader plays in creating the EHS culture.

What Do You Make?: When people want to know what the culture is, they look at the leaders.  It is this culture that produces the EHS results, good or bad.  So what is the magic culture that will produce the desired results?  The key is to figure out what are the key elements of the culture that will work and then work relentlessly to achieve them.

“Be Successful” Mentality:  Be Aware: What are the cultural rules that are getting in our way?  Be Balanced: Are we establishing clear expectations, exhibiting the behaviors, and emphasizing the behaviors that are critical to creating a culture where our employees committed to EHS excellence.  Be Present: Do we have a common leadership language and skill set so we can be more effective in giving and receiving feedback to ensure that our impact is matching our intent?
