Hazwoper Supervisor's Course

Persons who supervise the work on a hazardous waste site or an emergency clean-up are required to have a minimum of 8-hours of supervisory training in addition to their current Hazwoper training.

 This course will provide them with this knowledge and information: The following topics will be presented in the course:

 Regulations update

Decision making exercise

Health and safety plan development

Personal protective equipment; clothing and levels of PPE

Decontamination planning

Employee training

Medical surveillance program

Emergency response plan

Spill containment program

Health hazard monitoring procedure and techniques

Closing exercise

(Topics may not be taught in the order listed and depending on the audience, more or less time will be spent on these various topics)
