It’s been a long time coming! For more than 10 years hazardous waste professionals have been hearing of this elusive e-Manifest proposition. The discussion has finally become a reality. On June 30, 2018 EPA launched a national system for tracking hazardous waste manifests electronically. EPA hopes to modernize the cradle-to-grave tracking process and lessen the burden of paper work on the generator, transporters, TSDFs and themselves while saving time, resources and dollars.
This session will walk through:
What is this new system? (the workflow of the e-Manifest),
How does it work? (generator, transporter, broker and TSDF user registration)
Who will foot the bill? (e-Manifest fee schedule)
We will also touch on system to system interfacing capabilities between waste management software applications and the EPA’s e-manifest system.
These and many more FAQs regarding public access, compliance with other regulations (DOT) and manifest discrepancies will be discussed. Questions, comments and discussions are welcome!
