The Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule has been in effect for over a year. This first major change to the generator's rules since the addition of small quantity generators in 1986 has significantly impacted every hazardous waste generator's waste management practices, from the very small to the largest quantity of generator. Changes are starting to happen at the state level. Be aware of how these changes are impacting the management practices at your site. During the session we will break down the significant changes, including the reorganization of the generator rules, the revised and expanded storage device marking requirements, new re-notification requirements, new rules for "episodic" generation, and more. In addition, we will discuss the status of states adoption.
