Level of Course: Entry

A clandestine laboratory has been identified.  Has illicit activity taken place?  If so, is it a narcotics laboratory, rigged with IEDs, or something more nefarious?  You have x hours to provide an initial assessment of the activity and make a recommendation for site disposition.  Good luck.  Successful clandestine laboratory exploitation is a complex task requiring the delicate balance of a myriad of factors (domestic/international, safety, speed, footprint, analytical capability, communications, public inconvenience, to name a few), each with several sub factors.  It takes an experienced, well-trained, multi-disciplinary team, sometimes with a stroke of luck, to get the job done.  This session will explore art and science of clandestine lab exploitation, the challenging decisions made on the ground, and their second and third order effects.
