Emergency Response Scenario (Tickets still available)

Chemicals present their own inherent dangers. The mixing of incompatible chemicals can increase the hazard exponentially. Add into the mix some street chemists and no safety precautions, and you have a recipe for disaster.

 This year’s scenario will highlight the unique challenges associated with multiple chemical releases with the backdrop of a mobile drug lab. To provide as realistic a scenario as possible, our partners at Signature Science, will be creating our most realistic ERS to date.

 Our response partners, District of Columbia’s  Fire and EMS Department – Hazmat Unit and Triumvirate Environmental Services will be given very general information to work from (just like in the real world). Using that information, they will demonstrate their procedures and techniques for responding to this type of incident.

 As always, personnel from all parties will be providing on-going commentary during the exercise followed by a Q&A session along with an opportunity to examine the equipment and gear up close.
