Tour: Smithsonian Restoration Hangar at Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum (Ticket Required, Tour is full)

This tour is focused on health and safety and will visit the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, located in Chantilly, Virginia. The facility is spacious enough to accommodate several aircrafts at one time, giving the restoration specialists the room and equipment required to reconstruct, repair, and preserve artifacts. The Restoration Hangar also houses numerous support shops where Museum staff complete the many highly specialized functions necessary to preserve the collection. The charges for the tour are for transportation and lunch, only. There is no fee to enter the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. A boxed lunch will be provided. After a tour of the Restoration Hangar, the group will have time to visit the exhibits inside the museum.
