Safety and Health in the Tourism/Hospitality Industry

This presentation will cover both workplace safety as well as general liability issues posed by the operation of a resort/theme park.  The Entertainment/Hospitality industry has a host of typical safety and health concerns, along with some much more unusual safety and health issues presented as a result of the “nature of the business.”  Learning outcomes include: 

• Understand worker exposures and regulatory compliance issues.

• Understand hazard mitigation, Entertainment/Hospitality industry standards and practices.

• Understand the similarities to general industry and construction and some of the more “wild” differences.

• Understand company-specific procedures that may port over as a best practice to other companies/industries.
