The instructor’s job is to shape other human lives. It’s a task that requires intensive research and planning. Determining the exact training to be conducted can be less tedious if you use a systematic approach. Instructional Systems Development (ISD) uses the best of an engineering systems application to answer questions about human training. It’s not new – having been developed at the University of Michigan in the late 1950’s – but was not popularized in academia, industrial and military training until late 1960’s.
