TSCA Modernization: Analysis of the Chemical Safety Improvement Act

After numerous attempts to modernize the 37-year-old Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) in the past, the introduction of the Chemical Safety Improvement Act is showing some hope that the modernization of TSCA may finally be here. With the recent passing of Senator Lautenberg and the unpredictable nature of the law making process, it is yet unclear where this new bill, the Chemical Safety Improvement Act of 2013 (CSIA), will go from now. Nevertheless, CSIA is a good basis as to how TSCA will be amended in the future. In this session, the speaker will provide an update on the status of TSCA Reform and provide guidance on how to best prepare.
