When p-listed pharmaceutical waste volume triggers RCRA’s large quantity generator requirements, waste management increases operational costs.  Budgets are tight and increased costs will get your attention. Reverse supply chain management of pharmaceuticals is not always feasible which results in unused pharmaceuticals being classified as waste.  This presentation tells the story of how a flexible dispensing process was utilized and coupled with succinct formulary management resulting in, the best possible result, minimizing the quantity of hazardous waste and its cost.
