When asked to produce a list of effective leadership behaviors, groups often use descriptors such as clear direction, empowerment, and provides feedback.  When the list is for ineffective behaviors, words like overbearing, micromanagement, and absent often show up.  We have no problem listing the behaviors based on our experiences.  But what is the difference between clear direction and micromanagement?  Between empowerment and absents?  If your front-line leaders treat everyone the same when it comes to safety, if they don’t know the difference between leadership and management, and they don’t know how to effectively communicate, they cannot produce safety results.  This session will explore tools you can use to develop your front-line leaders to help you produce better safety results.
