What are the hidden hazards of the hazardous materials professional ? All too often we are careful in our actions and motions to protect the work environment and the workplace but forget about YOU the worker. When handling hazardous materials on a regular basis, certain safety protocols must be followed we can all agree on that. But what about the physical impact on the worker day in and day out. Must one ignore proper posture and position or personal health to complete the task at hand ? If this process is repeated throughout the days, weeks and years, what are the long term lasting effects on the body ?
In this session, we will explore the long term impact of common ergonomic injuries in the workplace and ways to prevent them. We will look at the Best Practices of several companies to identify common and practical solutions to the workplace. The session will run about 1.5 hours with additional time for Q&A.
