Biographical Sketch: Jana M. Gessner, Senior Director of HSE, is a globally seasoned HSE professional with a broad industrial manufacturing background in safety process, environmental permitting, sustainability, and risk management. Her 20-year career includes positions in automotive, food, and chemical manufacturing and she has successful proven her ability to lead culture HSE changes at both in the field as well as with senior leadership. Her in-depth experience at monitoring regulatory requirements, assessing business impact, and implementing HSE process that is integrated into the business models ensures the protection of people, assets, and product while allowing for flexibility in production, distribution and sales while fostering a culture of EHS excellence throughout the organization in which she is a part.
Jana holds a Masters of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and English from the University of Toledo, and the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential. Ms. Gessner enjoys photography, travel, playing the guitar and singing, and outdoor activities such as boating, hiking, and rollerblading, in her spare time.
