At the end of the session, attendees will be able to:

A major challenge of EHS&S professionals is to communicate their management systems as a business value. EHS&S professionals can make the business case for their programs by demonstrating the performance of their programs using the tools and language of the organization’s business managers.This session identifies the barriers to EHS&S as a business value; highlights specific business benefits of EHS&S functions, links EHS&S to the drivers of business value, and demonstrates tools to improve performance and effectively communicate with management. 

It identifies and links several key EHS&S functions with associated business values and offers practical methods for selling environmental and safety initiatives to corporate executives. The presentation defines key terms for understanding financial-speak, and demonstrates specific measurments of business performance and value.
