Emergency Preparedness: What Do You Mean Writing A Plan Is Not Enough?

This presentation will demonstrate the importance of proper planning, training, and exercising so that facilities are better prepared for all types of emergencies.  Along

with a description of the emergency planning cycle, tips will be offered on planning, training, and conducting exercises.  The presentation will also contain a discussion of

recent local, national, and international incidents, where proper emergency preparedness resulted in successful conclusions to emergencies and where the lack of such

preparedness made the conclusion of the incidents more difficult.
