Corporate Headquarters: the oft ignored environmental compliance opportunity

Tuesday, August 26, 2014: 10:00 AM-11:00 AM
Imperial 9 (Hyatt Regency New Orleans)

Level of Course: Mid

Just as 15 years ago a store was not thought to pose an environmental regulatory footprint, corporate campuses can be in a blind spot. In fact several aspects of corporate campuses can trigger environmental obligations. Emergency and back-up power equipment, facilities maintenance, used electronics, merchandise samples, private label testing and store layout planning can all pose environmental regulatory issues. The audience will develop a generic environmental profile and a compliance gap management plan in small groups in this facilitated session.

Significance of topic for attendees and key takeaways from the session:

Attendees will participate in a hands-on exercise that follows standard environmental gap assessment procedures. They will take an audience-developed checklist and approach that can be modified to their own corporate campus and other facilities.
