Chemical management has evolved through the years to encompass a myriad of regulatory and industry requirements including engineering design, worker safety, emergency preparedness, pollution prevention, waste management, protection from terrorist threats, and green purchasing. Whether you are employed by a chemical facility or a machine shop or a hospital, with these overlapping requirements, how do you control the purchase, use, storage, and disposal of these chemicals? If you have a chemical management program, is it comprehensive enough to meet all of your needs? This presentation will provide a method for evaluating your chemical management program as well as resources that may help you improve that program.
