Biographical Sketch: L. L. (Lee) Bird, has held positions as welder, (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW), pipe fitter and machinist. Since 1982 he has been performing NDT relative to the natural gas pipeline and compressor industry. He has also been involved with Pipeline and Plant Safety program.
Lee holds Corporate Level III certifications in MT, PT, and UT, API 510, 570 and 653 Inspector Certifications, Level III instructor (EPRI) Certification and is a member of ASNT.
Lee has been teaching and speaking publicly since 1974. Since 1994 Lee has been teaching Level I and II NDT courses.
