Biographical Sketch:
Albert V. Condello III is a professor of Safety Management & Fire Protection Engineering with the University of Houston Downtown. He is an authorized MSHA and OSHA Outreach Instructor has provided 30 hr training in both Construction & General Industry Standards and New/Refresher Miner & Mining Supervisor training. He has been recognized by Louisiana Safety Council of Baton Rouge as being a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS). Condello works part time for FIRST in Fire and Safety Training of Deer Park, TX providing HAZWOPER training and on call response to Disaster and Oil & Chemical Spill Mitigation. The areas of involvement have been with regard to Industrial Hygiene, Operational Risk Analysis and Site Safety with plan development. Condello served as Area Command Safety supporting near shore skimming operations with MSRC on the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Clean in GA, FL, and LA. Condello also responded to the Enbridge Energy Oil Spill on the Kalamazoo River in Michigan as Site Safety Supervisor with Garner Environmental. Professor Condello has recently delivered a five day course on oil spill response in LaBrea Trinidad, West Indies to the Environmental Management Authority and Ministry of Energy and recognized by International Maritime Organization to provide Oil Pollution Preparedness Response and Cooperation (OPRC) courses (Levels 1-3). Professor Condello and holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from LaSalle University; MBA Degree from Philadelphia University in Strategic Planning and Masters Degree in Occupational Health & Safety from Columbia Southern University and is presently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Occupational Health & Safety with concentration in Environmental Engineering from West Virginia University.
